Museum of Childhood based on the royal Mile in Old Town of Edinburgh is the first museum in the world dedicated to the history of childhood. Once a dream of a local councilor, Patrick Murray, it is a unique treasure that is crammed full of objects telling of childhood, past and present. The galleries feature toys and games galore from all around the world ranging from teddy bears and dolls to train sets and tricycles along with the street games played by children in Edinburgh.
