It is located close to the off-Fair S. Matthew, Viseu. Remains of a very large Lusitanian-Roman camp surrounded by a pentagonal earthen wall. Cava de Viriato is a national monument of the city of Viseu since 1910. This place was in earlier times a military camp erected by the Romans. It has been, since the sixteenth century.
