The California African American Museum (CAAM) is one of a collection of museums at Exposition Park with 44,000 square feet of facility that includes three full-size exhibition galleries, a theater gallery, a conference center, a research library and a 14,000 square foot glass ceiling courtyard. This museum is completely devoted to Afro-centric artwork, from painting to sculpture to multimedia. The permanent exhibits include the African American Journey West that documents the journey of Africans from the west coast of Africa to the United States. In addition, the museum also hosts independent and collaborative educational programs to serve public and private school students.
