Description:
One of the first public gardens in Los Angeles, MacArthur Park is named after General Douglas MacArthur. The park is home to more than 80 species of plants, and is divided in two by Wilshire Boulevard. The southern part consists of a beautiful lake where paddleboats are available for rent, while the northern portion includes an amphitheatre, bandshell, soccer fields and a children's playground along with a recreation center.
