City: San Diego
Description:

Located in the Little Italy section of Downtown San Diego, this museum features fire-fighting memorabilia dating back 100 years, and displays numerous old fire engines, including a 1841 hand-pulled steam engine, 'The Lancaster'. The museum pays tribute to fire marshals, chiefs, deputy chiefs and battalions who answered the call of duty. Everything from fire buckets and fire-fighting apparatus to badges, helmets and uniforms are on display at the Firehouse Museum. This is the oldest firehouse in San Diego which now serves as one of the most notable museums in San Diego.
