City: Buenos Aires
Description:

This small, white, colonial-style building with a central bell tower used to be the government house of the Viceroyality of the Rio de la Plata in the early 1600's. This is what left of the government building on the Plaza de Mayo dating back to colonial times, with paintings, artifacts, jewelry, clothes and furniture on display from the colonial period. The patio of the Cabildo still has its 1835 ornamental water well.
