City: Abu Simbel
Description:

Situated to the north of Great Temple of Ramses II, the Temple of Hathor was built by the Egyptian pharaoh known as Ramesses II. It was erected to honor Hathor as the goddess of love and music as well as pharaoh's wife Nefertari. The hall of the temple contains images of Ramesses and Nefertari in the battle. The facade has six standing statues of Ramesses II and Nefertari. The first room you enter is Hypostyle Hall, which has beautiful reliefs depicting Nefertari and ancient Egyptian goddess.
