Description:

St. Sergius is one of the oldest churches in Cairo, built in the 4th century it has been built, destroyed and renovated many times over the years. Dedicated to Sergius and Bacchus, it was burnt in the fire of Fustat and was rebuilt again. Though it has undergone several renovations due to frequent damage, it is still considered as ideal Coptic Church among those in entire Cairo, being one of the oldest Coptic churches in the city.
