Description:
Built in 16th century, the El Badi Palace is located in the north-east of the kasba of Marrakech. It was constructed to serve as the diplomatic palace of Sa’did Sharif Ahmad al-Mansur. The meaning of El Badi is ‘the incomparable.’ This beautiful palace was torn apart in the seventeenth century by Alaouite Sultan Moulay Ismail. The Koutoubia minbar is now on exhibition in one of the refurbished pavilions.
