Established in December 1994, District Six Museum is based on the Buitenkant Street and is dedicated to the history and memories of the District Six. The museum houses collections of photographs, maps and artifacts along with physical remains like books, street signs and audio-visual recordings of District Six. Discover the stories of forced removals in the District Six and Cape Town and assisting in the reconstitution of community in the District Six.
