One of the oldest buildings in Cape Town, Slave Lodge Museum is based at the entrance of Company Gardens and represents slavery in South Africa. Originally known as South African Cultural History Museum, it boasts the long history of slavery in South Africa. The collections include toys, ceramics, textiles and silver along with artifacts from ancient Rome, Greece, Egypt, the Far East and the Near East. Other highlights include Khoisan herders, Cape history, African money and slavery.
