One of the oldest parks in Hong Kong, Aberdeen Country Park is based to the south of Hong Kong Island. The park is an ideal place for morning walkers and hikers since there are several fitness trails as well as exercise spots here. The barbecue facilities and children's playgrounds make this park one of the best places for picnicking and school trips. Visitors can learn about the wildlife and flora in the park at the visitors' centre displaying botanical and insect specimens along with the education trail introducing different plants inhabiting in the park.
