At the top of the hill a large catholic basilica and an observatory. Sheshan Basilica is also recognized as Basilica of Mary and is well-known as a Roman Catholic Church in Shanghai city. The name of the Basilica comes from its spot on the western peak of She Shan Hill, placed in Songjiang District.
