Museum Sejarah Jakarta or Jakarta History Museum lets you explore the history of the city. Also known as Batavia Museum or Fatahillah Museum, it houses around 23, 5000 objects, some of which are inherited from Wayang Museum. The collections of this museum have been divided into several rooms like Tarumanegara Room, Prehistoric Jakarta Room, MH Thamrin Room, Fatahillah Room, Jayakarta Room and Sultan Agung Room. The collection includes historic maps, ceramics, paintings, Betawi style furniture and various objects from Dutch East Indies Company.
