Description:

This is a marvelous Buddhist temple most known for a fire called Meireki-no-Taika, an inferno which killed over 100,000 people around 400 years ago. It is said that the fire broke out in Honmyōji. There are also tombs of some famous personalities in this temple, including tomb of a political office leader Kinshirou Touyoma and a Japanese swords man Syuusaku Ciba.
