One of Tokyo's most energetic festivals, the Tokyo Koenji Awaodori Festival is held on the last Saturday and Sunday of August every year in Koenji, where around 12,000 dancers arranged into about 188 groups pile out into the streets over the two days of fun. It is a colorful and energetic spectacle that is equally entertaining.
