Sabah State Museum is the state museum of Sabah based on the Jalan Bukit Istana Lama Kota Kinabalu. The main building also houses six art galleries including the Sabah Art Gallery and other galleries include Archaeology and History, Islamic Civilization, Natural History and Ceramics and Brassware. Highlights include ethnographic collection like the human skulls from the Sabah's hunting days, totemic wooden figurine placed in the field of a Kadazan man who died without heirs and a sininggazanak.
