Housed in a former Saint Joseph’s Institution, Singapore Art Museum houses modern and contemporary art, being the first museum providing international standard museum facilities. Opened in January 1996, it not only houses contemporary arts of Singapore but also has significant collections of entire Southeast Asia. The museum is recognized all over the world for housing the world's largest collection of modern and contemporary art, along with its ever growing collections.
