Description:

Once served as the secondary palace for the king, this 17th century built Gyeonhuigung Palace was burnt down twice in the 19th century, and was largely destroyed by the Japanese during the colonial period to build a school for the Japanese children. In the palace grounds today are the Seoul Museum of History and The Seoul Museum annex of art.
