National Museum of Royal Barges is a fascinating place which houses the Royal Barges. These besutifully decorated vessels are used for auspicious ceremonies and state occasions like Royal Barge Procession. On the bows of these barges, sit a variety of figureheads like the mythical serpent, sacred Garuda, Hanuman and seven heads of Naga. The most important of all the boats in Suphanahong which weigh 15 tons and measure 45 meters long.
