Located in the heart of Bangkok, Phaya Thai Palace was built in 1909 by King Rama V. It was a country cottage where King Rama V and his queen escape on the weekends and relax. In addition to country cottage, this building served as a Radio Broadcasting Station and hospital. Today, it is a part of King Mongkut Hospital and is open to the public.
