Located on Sri Ayutthaya Road, Suan Pakkad Palace is a museum which was originally the home of Prince Chumbhotpong Paripatra and his wife. It was converted into a museum in 1952. The museum is an eclectic mix of artifacts arranged in eight houses with ceramics, fossils and furniture. In the first house, there are musical instruments belonging to Prince Chimbhot’s father Prince Paribatra. Xylophones, drums, three-stringed fiddles and gongs are displayed. Visitors are provided with a leaflet showing the layout of the houses and explanation on what can be seen there.
