Housed in the Arkeoloji Müzesi, Eski Şark Eserleri Müzesi is home to exceptionally rich collection of artifacts from the earliest civilizations of Anatolia, Egypt, Mesopotamia and the Arab continent. Also called as Ancient Orient Museum, it displays pre-Islamic divinities and idols taken from the courtyard of the Al-Ula temple, artifacts featuring ancient Aramaic inscriptions and a small collection of Egyptian antiquities. In addition to this, there is a rich collection of ancient Anatolian archaeological finds like Akkadian, Urartian, Babylonian and many more.
