Founded in 2004, Istanbul Modern Art Museum is the first private museum devoted to modern and contemporary art exhibitions. Based on the shore of the Bosphorus, the museum prominently showcases the paintings by Turkish painters, sculptures, videos and installations. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions that include photographs, paintings as well as conceptual shows that represent the modern and contemporary art of Turkey.
