Yildiz Park is a historical, urban park based in Beşiktaş district of Istanbul that was once a part of the Yildiz Palace. Later this walled park was reserved only for palace dwellers during the reign of Sultan Abdulhamid II. The park is decorated with large variety of trees, shrubs and flowers including pine, cypress, oak and cedar dating from the Ottoman period. The Lake Bosphorus is positioned in the centre of the park and includes a large fountain, while other features include series of pavilions and chalets as well as a hunting lodge operating as the Yildiz Chalet Museum.
