The Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) is a free cultural institution in the heart of Melbourne's Central Business District and is dedicated to the moving image in all its forms. It is a state-of-the-art facility that preserves exhibits and promotes Victorian, Australian and International screen content. ACMI has everything from films to the latest computer games and digital art of the future. The two main cinemas in the museum are equipped to play every film and video, with THX certified sound systems. The cinemas also present regular weekly and monthly programs.
