Within a short walking distance from the Melbourne Central Business District, lies the beautiful Royal Park, which is the largest of Melbourne's inner-city parks. The Royal Park's vast open spaces are great for a variety of activities. The parklands largely comprise sports ovals and sporting fields including the North Park Tennis Club, Royal Park Golf Course, State Netball Hockey Center, baseball and cricket pitches, and cycling and walking paths. The Australian Native Garden is also a great place for bird watching, as well as it is best known as the home of Melbourne's Zoological Gardens.
