It's a beautiful piece of bushland that sits on either side of the peaceful Lane Cove River that flows generally south-east into Sydney Harbour. It's a great place for a family day out; there are lots of picnic areas to choose from, including those that offer picnic tables, barbecues, children's play equipment, large grassy areas and easily accessible walking tracks. The Lane Cove Boatshed has boats and bikes for hire to row along the quiet Lane Cove River or cycle along the roads.
