The North Sydney Oval is one of the oldest cricket grounds in Australia being established in 1867, and the very first structure built in 1879 was just a simple pavilion overlooking the cricket ground. It is now a multi-use sporting facility that holds a number of sports events throughout the year including cricket, football, Rugby League, Union and Australian Rules football.
