The original chapel of the Palace, originally dates from the 13th century, was made over in Baroque style and received a Gothic makeover from 1447 to 1449 during the reign of Emperor Frederick III, the first Habsburg to become emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. Some items that survived from the past include the Gothic wooden vault, some carvings and few statues in cabins canopy.
