City: Vienna
Description:

Originally conceived as a private hunting ground by Emperor Ferdinand I, the Lainzer Tiergarten is now a public nature reserve, and the largest and wildest of Vienna's city parks. Mainly a zoo, this is a very popular place to relax and see the abundant wildlife. The Lainzer Tiergarten is home to between 800 and 1,000 wild bears, 200 to 250 fallow deer, around 700 mouflons, and 80 to 100 red deer. There are endless trails here too, for those who desire for a little exertion.
