Description:

Designed by Georg Kuphaldt, who was expelled by Germany in 1915 as a spy because he had a telescope in his garden. Located in the park are the Birth of the Christ Orthodox Cathedral, the Latvian National Museum of Art and the Art Academy of Latvia. Besides the essential ingredients of a good park, there are monuments of Rainis and Kalpaks, a couple of fountains, and a playground for kids.
