Home to collection of Claude Monet paintings, Musée Marmottan-Monet is housed in the mansion that belonged to the art historic Paul Marmottan in 16th arrondissement of Paris. The basement of museum displays collection of paintings donated by Monet's son Michel including some paintings of water lilies, views of the Rouen Cathedral, the Japanese bridge at Giverny and the Gare Saint-Lazare. While the upstairs feature the works from Manet, Renoir, Caillebotte, Gauguin and Berthe Morisot as well as a collection of First Empire furniture, 15th century primitives and a Sèvres clock.
