Schloss Charlottenburg is one of the oldest buildings in Charlottenburg and actually the reason for the whole city to be built. It is also known as Charlottenburg palace. It was built in 1699 by Elector Friederich III as a summer palace dedicating to his wife Sophie Charlotte.
