Burgplatz is a pleasant area of the city that encompasses several attractions, one of which is the Cartwheeler's Fountain, a sculpture commemorating the joyful tradition of cartwheeling in Dusseldorf, which began after the War of Worringen. After winning the war, the soldiers returned home and they began cartwheeling. Till now, this tradition is continued by annual competitions and events.
