Opened in 1988, the Jüdische Museum or Jewish Museum shows the history of Jewish communities in Frankfurt. It talks about the beginnings of the Jewish settlement in 12th century, the struggle for social integration and their new beginnings after 1945. The permanent exhibition features the art work by some popular German painters like Moritz Daniel Oppenheim, Ludwig Meidner and various others. The museum also has its other branch known as Museum Jundengasse located at Börneplatz.
