Based in a historic warehouse district of Hamburg, Deutsches Zollmuseum is one of its kind museums dedicated to custom history in Germany from antiquity to present day. The museum features over 2000 exhibits depicting the work of custom officials to display the past and present. The collections give an insight to individual tasks of customs, for example, excise duties, tax collection, protection of species and so on. You will also get to explore the new forms of communication including the dialogue, debate and interdisciplinary exchange that can now take place in front of modern and inspiring scenery.
