Description:
Maximilianplatz (Tram 19: Lenbachplatz). That square was built at the beginning of the 19th century at a place, where the northern city fortifications used to be. The main sights today are the Wittelsbacherbrunnen, the most beautiful fountain in Munich, the New Stock Exchange (Neue Börse) of 1901 and the House of Artists (Künstlerhaus). Maximilianplatz becomes the place to be during the night, when the clubs, that surround the square open their gates.
