Mittlere Isar Island (Insel Mittlere Isar), Mittlere-Isar-Straße (Tram 16: St. Emmeran). This park on an island between Isar proper and the Isar channel is a real insider tip. It is probably the most relaxed location to have some beers with friends within the city. Being located outside Mittlerer Ring urban expressway, it is also allowed to barbecue. The island is close enough to public transportation and far enough from any housing to make a good location for a private party.
