Inaugurated in 1985, the photography museum in Florence apparently is one of a kind in Italy. Named after the famous Florentine atelier, the museum is located in Piazza Santa Maria Novella and houses magnificent collection of rare photographs, images, instruments and precious objects. Aiming at preserving and exhibiting the beautiful collections, the museum is one of the 14 in the entire world, having exquisite theme of photography. It houses around 350,000 old positives and apart from that, extensive collection of old cameras, lenses and old photographic objects as well.
