In the center of Milan, between the Art Gallery and the Academy of Brera, there is a beautiful green corner called the Botanical Gardens. The garden consists primarily of rectangular flower-beds, trimmed in brick, with elliptical ponds from the 18th century, the greenhouse, the observatory and the beds from the 19th century. This fragrant garden is still filled with medicinal plants and bulbs spring, and two monumental specimens of Ginkgo biloba, one of the oldest in Europe. Educational activities, guided tours and special events are also organized here for the public and for schools.
