MAXXI museum consists of two museums - "MAXXI architecture" and "MAXXI art". The architecture collections consist of documents and artifacts that talk about the complexity of architecture. Some of the Italian protagonists whose work has been featured in the collections are Carlo Aymonino, Alessandro Anselmi, Paolo Soleri, Pier Luigi Nervi and Giancarlo De Carlo. MAXXI also includes library, cafeteria, bookshop, live events, laboratories and spaces for temporary exhibitions.
