Description:
The Tempietto is in the grounds of San Pietro in Montorio, behind the gate to the right of the entrance to the church. Designed by Bramante to mark the spot of St. Peter's martyrdom, this is considered as a masterpiece of Renaissance architecture. There is even a direct copy of it in Paris.
