City: Sorrento
Description:

Duomo Cathedral dates back to 11th century but was rebuilt in the 15th century. The magnificent interior of the cathedral has three naves that are separated by an ornate ceiling and pillars. It houses an archbishop's throne of 16th century, in fine marbles and a 19th century wooden marquetry work of Sorrentine craftsmen. Visitors can also see bas-reliefs from 14th century and the 17th century paintings by various well-known artists of that time.
