The Francis Monastery, cloister and church makes St. Francis of Assisi. The monastery dating back to the 8th century is still inhabited by Franciscan friars. Various important works such as the wooden door, frescoes and a wood statue of St. Francis can be found in the church which was built in the 14th century. The Cloister hosts musical events of the summer as well as it is one of the favorite places in Sorrento.
