City: Venice
Description:

Housed in the Fontego dei Turchi Palace at the Grand Canal, this is a museum of natural history and an institution that coordinates and conducts scientific research concerning tangible and intangible evidence of people and their environment. The museum houses around two million pieces, covering botanical, entomological, and zoological specimens, fossils, and ethnographic collections. Other notable collections include plants and fish fossils from Bolca, the Italian most famous fossil deposits in the world. It is probably one of the best natural history museums in Spain and is worth a visit.
