Located in borough of Amsterdam Oost, Oosterpark is a large recreation park in Amsterdam laid by the Municipality. Designed in an English Style, it serves the culturally diverse east side of Amsterdam. Containing the National Slavery Monument, the park is known as a picnicking spot with wide open spaces as well as huge shady trees for relaxation. Another fun activity in the park is bird-watching as some birds like Grey Heron are kept in one corner of the park.
