Also known as the Dutch Resistance Museum, Verzetsmuseum is regarded as the best historical museum in entire Netherlands. Housed in a building built in 1876 which served as a Jewish cultural center decades ago, it narrates the story of Dutch people in the World War II. Displaying large photographs, paintings, various objects and films, the museum gives a feel of the street of Amsterdam during the time of German acquisitions. The exhibits portray the everyday life of at that time.
