Alexandra Park is a Victorian park situated in north Belfast and the only park in Western Europe that is separated by a three meter wall. It was opened in 1888 and named after Princess Alexandra. Particularly famous for its wildlife, especially birds, the park is home to a variety of water birds and other species, including a bird called dipper which is mainly found in mountain rivers. Other popular birds include tufted ducks, mallards and other water birds.
