Housed within the close proximity of University of Edinburgh, The Meadows is a large public park that is popular haunt of students either performing sports or just passing the time on the grass. Lined with trees and covered with well-kept grass lawn in Old Town, this park comprises of cricket pitches, tennis courts, a croquet club and a children's playground. Visitors can relax with a book, play games or set up a barbecue in one of the designated areas.
